“…Collen (as he is known and respected by his colleagues) stays in Sekuruwe Village and is a director of Dynalift (Pty.) Ltd. – a compa-ny that shares many of his beliefs in terms of the importance of socio-economic development and the abolishment of adversity and large-scale poverty in and around Mokopane.
Since his appointment in 2019, Collen has spearheaded many of Dynalift’s initiatives to provide support to the local communities in-cluding the provision of stationary to various schools within the Mapela Community. However, none of these initiatives would measure up to their latest collaborated venture.
Over the course of several months from mid-2021, with the sup-port of Dynalift’s Training Department and assistance from their training consultant, Dr. Adriaan Lubbe, Dynalift and Collen em-barked on a journey to provide free training to members of the Greater Mapela Community. This included 5-day training courses where learners were trained to operate heavy machinery such as Forklifts, Truck Mounted Cranes and Rigid Dump Trucks respec-tively. Candidates also had the opportunity to attend 2-day Sling Loads classes where students were taught the basic principles of rigging and slinging loads.
